Hi,

I've built a kernel from the ksrc set from the RiscBSD 1.3 Alpha
21/11/97 CD, sup'd -k to current as of yesterday. Everything seems to
be fine apart from the ATAPI CD. The drive is detected correctly
during the boot-time probe, however, when I try to mount it I get the
following,

A brief flicker on the drives busy light.
  A 30 sec'ish pause.
  The message,

    wdc0(1): missing untimeout

At which point mount hangs. After this I can't mount wd0 either
(presumably the controller's got itself into a bit of a state) and
when I halt the kernel hangs before syncing disks (the only mounted
disks are scsi).

Has anyone got any idea what the problem might be? I don't think
there's anything particularly odd about my kernel configuration:
it's a copy of RISCPC with various bits disabled, SA110 only, cumana
SCSI support and a new set of monitor defns ... all the wd stuff
unaltered. There shouldn't be anything wrong with the rest of my
setup either: the 20/11/97 kernel works perfectly.

Err ... it occurs to me that the source tree at sup.netbsd.org might
be a bit out of date wrt the CD ksrc set in some places: eg. there's
cumana and ncr53c9x driver source on the CD which doesn't appear in
sup/current/last.ksrc-arm32. Could sup'ing -k current have clobbered
fresher CD driver source from the ksrc set?

Cheers,

Miles
