Hi,

I successfully installed 1.3alpha from the CD last weekend
- thanks to all involved in that.

Since I like jumping in the deep end I thought that the
first package I'd try and compile would be xview.
libxview and libolgx have built OK and for the moment
I have made them static libraries.
When I link a client I get messages like the following:

What do these mean? Needless to say the olwm produced here ran but didn't
actually bring up a window manager, but I am still investigating this.
Over the weekend I will try compiling the libraries and clients for
dynamic libs to see if that makes any difference.



On a totally different note how do I add groups to a user? I created
a user called David but when I su to root it says that the user is
not in the group "wheel" so won't do it. I created a user fred which
I put in group "wheel" but fred can't su to root either with a message
along the lines of fred not having wheel in it's secondary groups.
