Hello,

just a short inquiry: What happened to the rumoured 'new releases'
at Acorn world, Netscape being mentioned in particular.
Also, is the new (non-beta) release finally available on ftp ?
I don't think there was an announcement.

Most importantly (to me): I've decided to scrap the whole idea of using
RBSD if there isn't a faster Powertec driver - it's so slow and unresponsive
it's not really worth it.
We've been told so long that there'll be better drivers - it must be years
now !

Now I myself couldn't write such a driver and I can't judge how much work
it needs. I also don't want to complain, on the contrary, I would like
to thank the RiscBSD team for all the work they've put into the project
to give us a free Unix.

Still, I would like a definitive answer on wether a decent DMAed driver
can be expected in the near future - if there's no answer or the answer
is no then I'll find better ways to use the discspace.

Please tell me what to expect.

Kind regards,
