Yes. That may be the problem.

But I've found out how to add the defaultroute manually via route add
(real obvious of course :-) ) and there's a file (ip-up or something)
that gets called when the connection is established.

BTW, can I just kill routed, ie don't you need it ?

I had mixed experiences with the the system so far.
ping, telnet, ftp are running, but the old mosaic isn't.
I also wasn't able to do an xlogin.

I set the display to my host and allowed access via xhost +, but nothing
happened.
