Yes just a typo, but a very important one. After changing filename
it worked.

Even with a wrong /etc/resolv.conf file name. nslookup works if you start
the name deamon, which I did because I that this was neccesary. But all
what it takes is a good /etc/resolv.conf file to get the dynamic name
resolving working, no need to configure the namedb files 8-).

Thanks to all who helped me fix this problem. I have now my own homenet.
It has RiscBSD as a proxy server (running apache) with Mosaic as a browser
and my old trusty A310 running !Fresco. It's great fun 8-).

BTW is there a simple (not a script file) method to add the default
route after making a connection with dip? I do not like to add this
manually.
