just as a matter of intrest:

would it be possible to burn the BSD kernel on EPROM and run the kernel from 
ROM ? The idea behind it is to develop a stand alone analyzer on RPC mainboard 
base wich uses a customized (cut down) version of the RBSD kernel without 
IDE/SCSI/KBD/NETWORK support.

Can the BSD kernel be used for this (licencing fees) ?
