Yep, I had this problem. If I recall correctly, /usr/X11R6.1/bin/Xarm
was a softlink to /usr/X11R6/bin/Xarm21.
                       ^^^^^
Your /usr/X11R6.1/bin should look like this:

Also, I had to do `chmod a+rw /dev/vid*` and `chmod a+rw
/dev/quadmouse`.
