Can you post the precise messages? It should claim a podulebus with no
podules is installed, I believe.

I'll try to build at least another kernel snapshot sometime soon, but I'm
currently somewhat hampered by my home YP server's having lost its root
disc.

I believe you should be able to use PPP under both RISC OS and NetBSD, but
I haven't actually tested it. I'm in the happy position of having
Ethernet in almost all my machines at present, but I suspect that's not an
option on an A4.
