You can do that if you build your own sets and then upgrade from them; I 
did that myself yesterday.  Cross building works pretty nicely now.

The main problem I encountered was that sysinst is horribly broken (at 
least, on the SHARK it is :-) and can't display the menus properly to save 
it's life.

Oh, and I couldn't get "install from unmounted disk" to work -- I had to 
copy the sets onto a remote machine and then install them via NFS.
