I thought it was interesting to note that when init gets stuck, the machine
is no longer ping-able.  It's ping-able for a brief moment when nfs-boot
gets its address from rarp, but as soon as the nfs root is mounted and
init starts up, the machine can no longer be reached.
Odd.
