PAL support in the kernel?

Hey,

Im new to the whole UNIX thing but today I decided to try and install NetBSD
onto one of my Amiga's (an A1200 with Blizz030, 32MB fast ram etc)...

After quite a bit of working out I got the miniroot onto the swap partition
and booted from it... However I cant for the life of me work out how to get
the kernel to boot into a PAL mode. Ive looked at the MAN and no option
seems to exist...

Is there an undocumented feature to enable PAL?

Well, I'm sure I'd feel much worse if I weren't under such heavy sedation.
