help request

hello! I've tried to install netbsd (but I won't give up) on my 
a3000+commodore 3640 but my installation hangs after the boot (can't
find root filesystem). I'm sure I read the instructions well and went 
through all the passages but still something isn't ok.

What should I check first for this problem?
