AFAIK it has not much to do with the miniroot. It happend here when just
booting a 1.5.3 system with a 1.6 kernel. The system freezes after a bit
more of disk activity here as well. With my MK2 its mostly the Fujitsu MO
Drive but sometimes also the harddiscs.
Crash seems to occur not only with multiple parallel accesses to
several files but also caused by seqential access like its done by fsck.

Sorry, none so far. I will hopefully test it with other SCSI devices and
controllers this weekend.
I suggest it has got something to do with the "cleanup" work of scsipi.
Maybe the kernel is just trying to access the bus befor it completed the
reset.
