Hmmm ... I think we missed each other here. I would like to mount the
JAZ as "normal" partition (like /usr or /home or /var) but mounted as
/mnt/jaz. Which identifier should I use in this case?

I had the NetBSD 1.3 system completely on a JAZ 2 years ago (/, swap
and /usr). It worked fine, except that the "verify after write" JAZ
feature had to be disabled. Otherwise file corruption was a matter of
seconds after startup.
