flush /dev/par0 - how?

Hi,

is there any way to flush data which is still in the output
buffer of /dev/par0?

As far as I can tell, no program has the device open, but
there is still some rest of a print job in the device buffer
which I'd like to cancel. (The printer only prints one line
of rubbish and then performs a form feed.)
