I've been printing from my BJC250 with ghostscript for a while now with 
little problems, Though I do recall that I had to set the printer to 
accept bj200 printer language (the default I believe is for it not to) I 
changed this with the Amiga bjc250 driver (which uploaded it to the 
printer) So i suggest you try that. 

I have no idea about your 1200 problem.
