  Indeed, the different endian might be the problem. There doesn't seem
  to be an equivalent for FFS_EI on FreeBSD.
  Thanks to everyone who tried to help solving the issue. I known this
  issue wasn't strictly an amiga/NetBSD problem and I hope trying to
  find help here was ok.
