Hardware hang with 3640 card on 3000

Hi,

        Has anyone encountered hard hangs, i.e. Ye 'ol power button to fix,
        when rebooting an A3000 with all the latest CHIPS, 3.1 ROMs and
        a rev 3.1 A3640 card?

        Do I need special options set in the kernel? It takes FOREVER for
        the machine to even boot since I put the A3640 card in, is there
        some ADOS drivers I need to load in?

        I'd go back to the '030 but once things get going the '040 is
        faster.
