Oh, I saw all those tgz files on the CD-ROM and thought these are not
packages but plain-you-unpack-them-and-thats-it-files.

Ah... sure? It didn't work here. Dunno whether NetBSD used AGA for the
console tough, maybe it already used my CyberVision 64.

Then whats about Gnome?
Point is KDE is quite a comfortable GUI system for Unix IMHO and Gnome - I
did not see recent versions - also looked quite promising.
Users usually want such stuff... They are not "vi" hackers. Most of them I
guess ;-).
