I've just tried building ORBit from pkgsrc on a 1.4.1/i386 machine, and it went
fine. I still can just guess that there's something on your system that
causes it to use make instead of gmake. Please check /etc/mk.conf. Make sure
you didn't modify the pkg's Makefile. Send me the build output. Try going
manually into that dir (.../src/daemons/interface_repository) and type "make"
there. Then, type "gmake". Any difference? 

I don't have an amiga available. Appropriate forum for such problems is
tech-pkg btw, I just spotted this here by accident. :>
