  I'm running a CyberStorm MKIII, so I do have a 68060 CPU.

I hadn't used my Picasso II card in a long time - I had tried to use it
in an A2000 with a 68040, but there were some problems at the time with
the 68040. I just recently put it into my A4000.

This is very similar to what I was noticing. Doing some things as
superuser would kill the display. One I clearly remember was running a
utililty to spin down a SCSI disk, and I think another time was doing
something with a floppy disk.

I'd bet your English is much better than my Spanish [which someone tried
to teach me in grade school long, long ago] or any other foreign language.
