As i have still been unable to get xdm to work I have been looking for other ways of running a secure x session. according to "The UNIX administrator's guide to X" running theses commands should run a secure session of X:
xauth add `hostname`/unix:0 . [a random number]
xinit /home/bbogart/.xinitrc -- /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xinit/xserverrc -auth $HOME/.Xauthority
I've tried this, and i don't get any errors but according to tcl/tk it is not a secure session. Any pointers on getting this to work?
Thank you.
