Are you sure that the whole system 'freezes'? And not just the console?
There is a bug in the kernel (or rather the drivers for the gfx drivers)
for the Picasso II card. Have one just the same in my A1200T, and with
the GENERIC kernel, it boots just fine, but it only outputs around 10
lines of text to the screen, and then nothing (the coursor might move
sometimes) but nothing more. Let's say invisible text.
If this is the problem, it could be fixed by changing an option in the
kernel configuration file.
change:
option NKMEMCLUSTERS=256
to:
option NKMEMCLUSTERS=512
In other words, change from 256 to 512.
BUT, I'm not sure if this bug is still present in the 1.3.2 release,
can't rember, but if it is, this would help you abit on your way! :)
Btw, the oktagon scsi controller isn't supported by netbsd.
