 Turns out he has a plain A3000 - which makes me wonder about what happens.

 He says, he is using "loadbsd -bpZ" and that NetBSD would not start w/o
"-pZ" option. I dont even know offhand what "-pZ" does, because I never
used it on my A3000 :-) OK, I looked it up. Loading directly to CHIP-
RAM. Means he has no 2MB max mem chunk?

 My guess is, that he has non-contingous memory, maybe even 16Bit RAM,
and that NetBSD doesnt offer enough linerar RAM, which could explain
the crashes.

 "Shouldnt" :-)

 I am running out of ideas.

 PS: I suggest to leave the replys to port-amiga from now on.
