Hi,

as I tried to compile egcs-1.1 (egcs_1_1_release from the
CVS repository), my system always crashed during the build:
The screen turns black, and no further keyboard/mouse
input to the computer is possible. LAlt-LAmiga-F10 does not
work either.

After a bit of investigation, I found out that the crash
happens after the make stage1, when ./xgcc is used to
compile opnew.o from egcs/gcc/cp/new1.cc. The crash is
triggered by (the newly created) cc1plus.

Some more info: A4000 w/ CS 060, NetBSD 1.3.2 (GENERIC,
but with ncr patch for cyber scsi), additional compile
flag -m68060 during egcs build. Tell me if you need more
information.

Has anyone with a similar configuration encountered this,
too?

Regards
