Uhm, the kernel is on the miniroot, nowawadays, for bootblock
booting (where it works) and easier installation.

Depending on how he wants to boot for installation, he needs a kernel inside
as well as outside of the miniroot, or to manually mount the AmigaOS or CD-ROM
filesystem and copy the changed kernel over (if there was one already).
