 Doesn't T-Online offer PAP or CHAP? If so, you do not need a chat-script
for the login-process.

 Well yes, pppd is not running and someone is trying to set the default
route or other stuff to the ppp0 device.

 I believe the connection is killed because the login-procedure was not 
successful. On the original T-Online CD-ROM there was a file describing
the process how to login using UNIX. This might help, if this file is
still provided. Also, please read the networking FAQ from Hubert Feyrer,
