You can install pkgsrc stuff in /usr/local by doing the following:
- Set in /etc/mk.conf:
LOCALBASE=/usr/local
- compile all the pkgs yourself (binary pkgs will not work as the standard
binary pkg distributions are rooted at /usr/pkg)
