I recompiled my kernel with a minimum of drivers
(in fact I use all lkm available filesystems right now), no ethernet
and it compiles and runs just fine.

To bad IPfilter cannot be kicked out yet (and then lkm'ed)
There is not even an option in config for that to bad ;)
