Subject: Xserver config for PicassoII

The X FAQ makes reference to an ADos executable called ListModes,
used to convert the PicassoII Monitor file for grfconfig. I can't find
it on the
Village distribution, wustl archive or uni-regensburg. Can someone
direct me
to it (or an already converted file). Without running the grfconfig, I
tried
startx and got the following:
Fatal server error:
no screens found
giving up.
xinit: Connection refused (errno 61): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.
I'm guessing that this is due to the missing grfconfig at startup.
I can ping localhost and I've tried with $DISPLAY set to localhost:0.0
and :0.0 .
I'm using /dev/grf3 and startx does indicate that it's trying to talk to
a
CIRRUS adapter.
Thanks for your help...
Jack
