grfconfig /dev/grf3 tells: 800x600x8
335.0 kHz @ 527 Hz NI (tweak :37.53/38.17)
640x480x8
275.4 kHz @ 486 Hz NI (tweak: 24.24/32.43)
Console 640 x 480 (80x60) 31.5 kHz @ 60 Hz NI
yes.
you graphics mode looks very much like youre haveing divided-by-8
horizontal values in the file you feeded to grfconfig.
With the correction applied, you would end up at 41 kHz horiz., 65 Hz vert.
The file you feed to grfconfig has 10 columns:
- grfmode number, pixel clock, display width, display height, display depth,
- 5 horizontal values (formerly in units needed by some (but not all)
graphics boards, nowadays in units of pixels)
- 5 vertical values (in units of lines)
Either devide the middle 5 numbers by 8, or use the -o ("old")
backwards compatibility switch to grfconfig.
Hm... the author of egs2grfconfig should really release an updated
version of his program.
Is there any FAQ where this answer can be added? Its explained in the
man page, but unfortunately, people thend to overlook the relevant
line of text.
