Hi,
we now have support for the PicassoIV and some fixes for other gfx devices.
A NetBSD-1.2 kernel is on ftp.uni-regensburg.de in /pub/NetBSD-Amiga/kernel/
-rw-rw-r-- 1 39068 ftpadmin 578281 Feb 27 22:59 PicassoIV-MerlinZorroIII-kernel.gz
and the source for NetBSD-1.2 in /pub/NetBSD-Amiga/experimental
-rw-rw-r-- 1 39068 ftpadmin 30839 Feb 27 22:59 PicassoIV-MerlinZorroIII-source.tgz
This changes come all from Klaus Burkert. I only made some small changes
for -current where you can get it after tomorrows sup scan.
>From the readme of this files:
- PicassoIV support
- Merlin works now in ZorroIII mode
- Fixes for Interlace and DoubleScan.
- Memorysizedetction for 1MB Bords (Picasso2, Spectrum, ...)
- Clockdoubling for PicassoIV and PiccoloSD64
NOTE: Don't use the X11R6.1 Xserver with -useHWC on the SD64
with a gfxmode >80Mhz or you get a broken mousepointer.
- HiColor and TrueColor Support
(doesn't work yet, since it needs some fixes for the XServer)
There is at the moment a problem with the PicassoIV and colors on the console
and under X11. Please send me a mail with your FULL hardware configuration
if you get this problem.
FULL means:
- Amiga version (500/1000/1200/2000/2500/3000/3500/4000)
- ALL other hardware (Zorro cards, CPU boards (extra modules on the CPU board))
- Doughterboards to use Zorro cards (e.g. from Micronik)
- All revision nummbers from the hardware above
- Do you use it in ZorroII or ZorroIII mode?
- Do you use loadbsd or gobsd to start NetBSD (and which version of this
loader) ?
- Please try to boot your amiga directly into NetBSD after you switched it
on (without the startup-sequence (loadbsd needs the ixemul.library)).
- Please try to use it in ZorroII if you get this problem with ZorroIII.
And please send me also a small note with your hardware configuration if
the driver works without this problem.
Bernd
