   I have a 4000/040, with a CyberVISION 64. What should I get
(and where) to install and use NetBSD and X11 on my CV? (I
can't see AGA screenmodes in my monitor).

loadbsd -A or:
gobsd AGA

BTW, I have GateWay 2, but it doesn't have any kernel that
   runs on a CV console.

Thats correct. However, thats an outdated, historical NetBSD
version. The last formal release, NetBSD-1.2, has CV-Console-support.
