Err, no.
It's a (as it turned out, superflous) test for direct-fastmem-booting.
I suggest that you try "loadbsd -Z" for chipmem booting, or (if you
don't have a DraCo) use an older loadbsd version.
[Yes, I _plan_ to release a corrected loadbsd version, but this might
be delayed for a couple of weeks.]
