Yes, there seems to be a bug in the 1230-IV detection of that driver.

A kind soul (no, not me) will build a patched kernel (netbsd-1.2 +
patched bznsc driver) over the weekend (using the same driver on a
B2060). Hopefully you can get it beginning late Saturday from
ftp.uni-regensburg.de /pub/NetBSD-Amiga/incoming.
