Mosaic2.7b3 & scrolling text

Does anyone have any idea why sometimes when I launch Mosaic 2.7b3 with an
open XTerm on the upper left side of the screen with scrolling text, the
text seems to scroll up out of the window into the Desktop area?  A
similar thing happens with programs that have been compiled with Xforms
(http://bragg.phys.uwm.edu/xforms) for NetBSD1.1-Amiga when they have
scrolling text in the window.  I'm using the Xcl (standard, not the 16-bit
color alpha release) server with a PicassoII and fvwm-95 as a window
manager.  Of course this also happens when I use openwin.  Any thoughts?
