Re: Installing to A3000 w/ CD-ROM

      I'm trying to work out how to install NetBSD 1.1 from the BSDisc
   CD-ROM.  My setup currently includes a 3000 w/ 12MB FAST RAM, 2MB
   CHIP RAM, 210MB HD (ADOS) (ID=0), a partitioned 850MB HD (ID=1) and
   a Sun CD-ROM (ID=6) of the older variety. The A3000 has kickstart
   on the ADOS HD (no ROMs).

Oh, it _has_ ROMs, only they won't let you use themselves w/o tricks,
because they know the newer kickstart is _much_ more usable. ;-)

   However, I can boot NetBSD (a 1.0 kernel already on the system) and it
   will find sd0, sd1 and cd0.

So you have won....

- boot netbsd-1.0 to single user mode.

  * mount -t cd9660 -o ro /dev/cd0a /mnt
  * cp the new kernel to somewhere
    you can read it off from AmigaOS (you have bffs-1.4beta or later,
    I hope?)
  * dd the upgr11.fs or inst11.fs to your swap area.

- boot AmigaOS
  * From here, loadbsd new kernel as indicated in INSTALL

- you are in netbsd-1.1's install script
