Hi there,
after reading the excellent networking-FAQ I pointed out, that connecting
with dynamic IP-Addresses isn't mentioned there. When I connect to our
terminalserver I have absolutely no idea, what my IP-Address will be. But
networking-FAQ says that I must do a route add from localhost to
remotehost BEFORE I connect. I took a look at AmiTCP and found out that
it routes AFTER connecting and uses env-variables to store the local and
remote addresses ($ppp0iplocal and $ppp0ipremote). My questions are: are
there similar env-variables in NetBSD and where can I find more
information about dynamic connecting?
Thanx a lot in advance,
Stephan Quitzsch
