I finally got Xcl16 running - I forgot to change the ownership to root.

Unfortunately it didn't fix the problem.

The cursor is still corrupt in every screen mode that I've tried
(640x480x8, 800x600x8, 1024x768x8, 800x600x16).

Any other help appreciated.
