Thanks Matthias and everyone who replied via private e-mail. I've now
learned that the XC in XC68040HRC25M is for unqualified chips (MC for
fully qualified) and that EC or LC chips would say 68[EC | LC]040blahblah
but I am now curious what the HRC means. What does the RC stand for?
I've heard from people who's chips simply read 68040RCblahblah; what is
the H for? I'm guessing that it's maybe a different process. Anyone?

Oh well, it's not that important. I guess I should just install it and
be done with it. Now where did I put that hacksaw...
