NetBSD Laptop with external screen support (ThinkPad T14 Gen 1)

Just upgraded from my old T480 to a ThinkPad T14 Gen 1

from - T480 - 2018 - 32GB, i7-8550U
to - T14 Gen1 - 2020 - 48GB - i7-10610U

Picked the T14 Gen 1 as it is the last T series machine with the Intel
UHD display chipset - later machines move to the Intel Iris Xe, for
which NetBSD does not run on an external monitor.

Regressions from the T480:
- Only has an internal battery rather than a small internal and
optional replaceable
- Wi-Fi chipset is Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201, so using a USB dongle
- Firmware will always boot from /EFI/Microsoft/Boot in preference to
/EFI/Boot, so the F12 dual boot trick to select booting from the disk
for NetBSD and "Microsoft Boot Manager" for Windows no longer works,
will have to install rEFInd or similar at some point
- the "intel" x11 driver no longer works - shows odd fading pixel
block artifacts on screen, but "modesetting" works Just Fine

Noticeably quicker, and that extra 16GB definitely helps when running
IDEA, a few databases and java servers plus browsers. This is with a
NetBSD-10 install with a current 10.99.14 kernel (I'm checking to see
if an occasional tun0 related routing issue which appeared when moving
from NetBSD-9 to NetBSD-10 is still present in -current)

All in all a worthwhile upgrade

David
