BSD/OS binaries on amd64

I am in the process of re-equipping and getting rid of relatively
bulky older kit.   But I have a substantial archive of
statically-linked software for specialist statistical analysis methods
that was compiled under BSD/OS.   Because of the binary compatibility
layer in the i386 ports I have run this software without difficulty on
NetBSD, certainly since 2.x and possibly even earlier.

Will I have to take any special measures to run these programs on
amd64, or am I condemned to a big recompilation project or running a
separate (real or virtual) 32-bit machine?
