This appears to be the similar to PCR 34609 which reports that XFree reboots
the system immediately if more than 3 GB of RAM is installed / configured. I
am experiencing the same thing with modular Xorg.
Starting Xorg results in an immediate reboot with no log file evidence of
cause. Removing memory SIMMS allows X to work.
