I've just tried to install NetBSD 2.0 amd64 and NetBSD 2.0.2 amd64 on my
new 3500+ with asus a8v mobo(using the iso's from netbsd.org). 

I'm experiencing a problem installing NetBSD on this system when I try
to select ffsv2. Selecting ffsv2 it says it can't install the boot code.
Selecting ffsv1 and it doesn't complain till you try to reboot the
system after the install. Then it says insert a boot floppy/cd etc. What
am I doing wrong? any ideas ?
