I was able to price a 2-processor Opteron for $1142.00 at
http://www.micropro.com/syslist.htm?product=Servers&sub=AMD%20Opteron%20Servers

The Opteron 240 CPU's are priced really nice for entry into the AMD64
experience and "tire kicking".
