Well... this is NetBSD .. not VMS... ;-)
if it were VMS I would be doing a mount, restore and then unmount....

but right here is have a "feeling" (this is very vague.....) that we =20
are talking some SCSI-problematic... as the "dump" appears to be =20
writing ok to the drive....

I did a rewind but that did not help.....
Any chance at all that you can recall what that non-intuitive command =20=
