Booting from latest ISO:
normal boot sequence from dqa0 (ide cdrom drive)
NetBAD/alpha 2.0.2 secondary boot rev 1.13

VMS PAL rev. 0x1000200010115
OSF PAL rev 0x1000200020117
Switch to OSF PAL code succeeded

Boot file: 0
Boot flags: 0
Open 0: no such file or dierctory
boot fialied! halting

Ditto for 1.6.2 from feb.

any hints on how to trouble shoot this or get around it, greatly 
appreciated.
