There is a config file of ADP7771 for non-i386 machines:
ftp://ftp.neccomp.com/pub/Server/RISC/l710sup.exe
(though it's named .exe, it's a text file.)

It was prepared for NEC mips based ARC machines and
I haven't tried it yet (I don't have the ECU for ARC machines),
but I think it should work on alpha, too.
