I went up to the machine tonight, and it was spitting out

or something close but I could not get into it via console.
Output was continuous, as fast as the vt320 could spit it out at 9600, 
so...I am letting it rest tonight. I shut it off.

Also, the ether that had come up and was responding to pings, tlp0,
quit. Would not respond to pings.
