Riccardo,

     This is off the topic of your question, but my 21164 @ 500MHz is very
cool (thanks RISC -- no fan on the heatsink, even) and the major
source of heat seems to be the power supply which is very beefy. 
It's much cooler than my K6-2 450, if you can believe that.
